Dale Scott has worked with ERP systems for over 25 years, first interacting with them as a product design engineer and later for general business management.
Dale started his engineering career designing custom integrated circuits for the first generation of mobile cellular telephones, for the first sub-decimeter commercial GPS receiver, and for pro-MI harmony synthesis products. He then progressed to product management, and has since held leadership roles in a variety of disciplines including engineering management, technical sales and customer support, and manufacturing.
In his career, Dale has worked with a variety of commercial and custom ERP systems, and participated in a number of ERP implementation (and migration) projects. In 2005, Dale started using using open source project management software as a cost effective alternate to commercial proprietary software and in 2013 started using webERP.
Dale has a B.Eng. degree (specializing in Computer Engineering) from the University of Victoria and certificates in Computer Science (specializing in Business Software) and Project Management from Mount Royal College. Currently Engineering Manager for an industrial telematics product manufacturer and distributor, Dale is also the founder and principal consultant at dalescott.net, providing services related to engineering product development and supporting processes.
In his spare time, you will find Dale exploring his local urban jungle on bicycle, or exploring further afield with his wife Elizabeth.
